How To Set Goals You Can Actually Achieve

Setting goals is much more than writing down everything you wish to accomplish, and making a vision board. Yes, these things work and are part of the process, but there is a deeper process you must go through first so you can create goals that come from the deep part of your heart (go to the roots) and soul, and actually achieve them.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW?


The first step is to figure out where exactly are you now. You cannot make a plan to where you want to be by the end of the year if you don't even know and are honest about where you actually are now.

There are a few areas in your life you ask this question: Your health, your relationships, and any other area of your life that is important for you and needs a change such as finances, business, motherhood, etc, but first, you need to take your health to the next level.

Be brutally honest, but not hard nor judgemental, just be honest, only then you will be able to really see where you are right now and see where you want to next.

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?


How does the best year of your life feel like? What does it look like? What does that mean? What kind of freedom do you have? Did you get a wellness & health coach to help you achieve your health goals? Did you end a toxic relationship? Did you fall in love with yourself again? Do you cook more home-fresh meals or do you have a subscription service? Do you have a support system? How does your day looks like? Who are you with? What have you accomplished? Where are you? How do you feel?

Pretend is a year from now looking back without looking through all the clouds. Now start writing fast how does the best year of your life feel without any judgment, second-guessing, or doubt. Look at things as they already happened (I Am). Be as specific as possible because this becomes a roadmap and manifestation for the year.

Health allows you to do amazing things! Gives you energy, focus, and clearance that allows you to be the best woman, mom, spouse, friend, co-worker, or boss that you can be.

GOING FROM WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW TO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO


YOUR WHY


Now that you know where you want to go and where you are right now, you will notice that there's a gap between both places. That gap is called your why?

Why are you here now? Why do you want to go there? You need to have a why so strong that when you have a tough day when the person you see in the mirror doesn't feel like keeping going, to leave it for tomorrow, to second guess themself, or simply had a bad day, you will lift your butt back up and say, I got you because we are not settling for anything less or different.

Life is full of surprises, people will doubt you, friends and family will question you, social media will make you think that it is okay to not take care of your body and nourish it! You need to know your why so you can keep moving forward, have the drive and be true only to yourself.

The Seven Levels Deep

It is a process that allows you to go deep by asking yourself why seven times over. It might seem okay at first, but believe me, when you down to the second or third why you will start noticing you will have to start thinking more and going deeper and deeper into the true core roots of your why.

When you allow yourself to go deep and really go all in, you will notice that everything will change, your physiology and your answers will go from your head into your heart, and just a quick little warning on this one... tears might be coming out too.

You will start noticing how your past had a bigger impact on you and your health than you think. The way you were raised, the beliefs and values of your family, friends, co-workers, school, church, and every person and environment that has surrounded you, every experienced lived has shaped you into the person you are today, including all of your bad and good habits.

Health means something different for all of us, it is important for you to go deep, and find out what is it that you want, but you need to know, see and feel why this is important for you.

THE HOW!!!


The how is the plan to build the bridge that will get you from where you are right now to where you want to be. This is the part where most of us tend to go crazy and start making tons of goals and try them all at the same time.

I want to tell you that will not work. The only way to build a strong bridge that will take you to where you want to go is to take small uncomfortable actions. Small changes, baby steps, that will really help you achieve your goals and make it to where you want to be.

REPLACE THE HOW WITH WHO


Who has done this before? Who has the capabilities to get me there? Who has the roadmap? Who has the directions? Who's already achieved the health goals I want to achieve?

Coaches have already produced and created all the pieces to go from where they once were as an unhealthy person to a healthy living one. They already have built the bridge. Coaches have already gone through it all, they felt like an imposter, they self sabotage, they hated their bodies, they hated not being where they wanted, they were not supported, people didn't get what they were doing, they messed up,... but guess what, they still made it, they built the bridge and now they are giving you the full pass to use it.

Coaches have gained the capabilities and now are where they wanted to be and want you to get there too, without the headache, misses, and loneliness that getting there can take.

IT WILL NOT BE EASY!


Listen, this new journey will not be easy. There will be thought times, a few hiccups, and some failures on the way. If your why is not strong enough you will give up, fall down and never get up again. If your why isn't strong enough you will opt-out.

Take time to write your why on a journal or piece of paper you can go back to. Then put it where you can see it every single day. I prefer to do this every morning before I start my day so I can set that intention and energy for the day. It is important to read this every day to set your subconscious to success, to make changes, and live true to your goals and dreams.

You can also create a mantra, and repeat it every day, every time you need to. My mantra for this year is "Be comfortable with uncomfortable", and now every time I see myself having doubts, self-sabotaging, looking for excuses, and saying later, I come back to myself and repeat my mantra and take instant action. This has worked wonders and has changed my whole life and who I am, on the amazing great side.

When saying your mantra, slap your chest, repeat out loud, feel the anger, and then repeat again with an "I got this". Allow yourself to feel that moment to the fullest, feel it, see it, and live it.
